I run a number of workshops across the UK and further afield, just click on the links in the Workshops menu above for details of each workshop. If your photographic needs are greater or want something more personal, I’ll also run a one-to-one workshop or at group level at a location that suits you and your group. Feel free to contact me to discuss your ideas and the pricing structure.
Camera Club Talks
I am available to give a number of different talks to camera clubs or societies. The talks can be held on Zoom (for a nominal £20 fee) or in person, though we would need to discuss my expenses before any booking is confirmed. I prefer to give them in person as on Zoom, I don’t hear you laugh at my corny jokes! My calendar does fill up pretty quickly so please get in touch if you want some more information about the following subjects:
- A Basic Introduction To Lightroom – I explain workflow once photos are ready to be downloaded to the computer and will cover renaming files, keywords, rating and processing. I also cover some of the more advanced techniques to keep the ‘experts’ in your club interested. Printed handouts are available (for a small fee) when the talk is given in person. Approx time is 1 hour 45 mins.
- Scottish Wildlife – For those of us living in the UK, Scotland is very easy to get to so this talk is extremely popular with nationwide clubs. I explain/show why some images work and others don’t work. I give plenty of advice on various topics including fieldcraft techniques, when to use a high ISO, achieving the perfect background, getting the best out of your camera, etc. To keep you entertained during the evening, there’ll also be plenty of humour thrown in. Approx time is 2 hours.
- Wildlife In Botswana – This talk is showing some of the wildlife you are likely to bump into whilst in Chobe NP or in the Okavango Delta. Humour is free. Approx time is 1 hour 45 mins.
